Periodically, Microsoft release a new version of their Windows operating system. The current one, realeased in October 2009, is Windows 7. As with every new release of software, there are many new features and some new functionality we have to understand, learn how to use and then commit to memory. The learning curve is sometimes steep!
Winplosion is all about making your Windows 7 learning curve as shallow as possible. There is a wide range of subjects covered here with step by step, easy to understand tutorials. All tutorials include helpful screenshots in appropriate places that guide you through the task at hand.
Here are a few useful resources that will help you get your head around Windows 7:

Microsoft Office 2010
New versions of Windows are usually released at roughly the same time as new versions of Microsoft Office, and Windows 7 was no exception. Accompanying Windows 7 are Microsoft Word 2010 for creating professional looking documents, Excel 2010 for handling spreadsheets, PowerPoint 2010 for creating and delivering stylish presentations, Outlook 2010 to handle your emails, Access 2010 for all your relational database needs, Publisher 2010 for creating paper based publications and marketing materials like newsletters and flyers and finally OneNote 2010 for some weird note taking tasks (does anyone really use OneNote?).
There are lots of Microsoft Word tutorials sites on the internet, but surprisingly few cater to the current version of Word. The same is true of the other Office programs, but that will probably change over time as Office 2010 adoption spreads.
